Postdoc fellow Dr. Alpen Ortug and Northeastern co-op student Angela Woronko went to the 2024 American Association for Anatomy conference in Toronto to present their posters.

3rd year behavioral neuroscience student, Angela Woronko, presented her poster on sex-and age-related volumetric differences in white matter during early brain development in rhesus macaques using diffusion MRI tractography at the 2024 American Association for Anatomy Conference in Toronto, Canada.

Our very own Dr. Alpen Ortug went to the 2024 American Association for Anatomy (AAA) and the Committee for Early Career Anatomists (CECA) and was a Postdoc Scientific Poster Award Finalist

Dr. Ortug was also a travel award recipient of the 2024 Anatomy Connected Meeting with her presentation ‘Imaging the Developing Brain Pathways in the Early Second Trimester of the Human Fetal Brain Using Ultra-High-Field (14T) Diffusion-weighted MRI’

 

 

2023

Anatomy Connected 2023 organized by American Association for Anatomy (AAA)

Dr. Alpen Ortug received the 2023 Postdoctoral Fellowship Recipient with the research titled “Micro- and Macro-Anatomical Analysis of Postmortem Lissencephaly Human Brains with Diffusion MRI and Polarization-Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography (PSOCT)”. Additionally, Dr. Ortug received funding. Congrats Alpen, we are so proud of you!

2023 The MGRI Image Awards

Dr. Alpen Ortug received the 2023 People’s Choice Award with “Lightning of the Mouse Brain” image and was The Closer Look Category Finalist with “The Crown of Telencephalon” image. She jioned the Award ceremony at Paul S. Russell, MD Museum of Medical History and innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital.
