About the position:
The Takahashi Lab pursues both basic and translational lines of inquiry regarding brain development through various imaging techniques. Focus topics of our lab include in-vivo and ex-vivo fetal and postnatal brains of human subjects of normal development, human subjects with diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders, and cross species comparisons for investigation of the different facets of human brain development.
Through this position, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a small, close-knit research lab through involvement in several projects with various responsibilities. These may include obtaining crucial data from obtained images, keeping up to date with current literature and methods, and organizing large amounts of data into accessible formats.
- Experience level: Current high school, undergraduate, or graduate students. No prior experience with diffusion MRI is necessary, but some basic knowledge of neuroanatomy is helpful.
- Work model: This is a fully remote position. However, students are welcome to attend lab meetings in person as well as request in-person training.
- Pay: Unpaid.
- Hours per week: The time commitment for this position is flexible according to your availability.

- Longer duration positions (4+ months): we request that you are able to commit to at least 10 hrs/week
- Shorter duration positions (2- 3 months): we request that you are able to commit to at least 20 hrs/week
- We ask that students give a rough estimate of the amount of time they can commit upon applying and uphold, within reason, this commitment throughout their time with the lab.
